Assignment for Friday, May 8th:
Today you will have a substitute. You must read TWO news articles using an online news source. One of the articles you choose to read must have to do with politics (i.e. President Obama, congress, supreme court, issues affecting other governments). The second article can be on a topic of your choice. For each article, you must complete an article analysis worksheet. To access this worksheet, go to "Section Files" on the right side of the class webpage. Be sure to download it onto your computer TWICE because you must complete this page for EACH of your articles.
To find an article, see "News Source Links" under "Section Links" on the left side of the classroom webpage. Choose the an online news paper. Browse through the website to find two articles that interest you.
When finished, save your work, and submit BOTH worksheets under "Section Homework" on the right side of the webpage.

Two Extra Credit assignments are now available to help BOOST your grade before the end of the 4th Quarter!
Directions:
- In order to access the assignments, see the right side of the webpage titled "Section Files"
- Open "4th Quarter Extra Credit" folder
- Here, there are two assignments to choose from. It is up to you which to complete. You will be assigned a score based on your individual effort. Only one assignment can be completed for extra credit.
- Be sure to download ALL pages onto your computer. Save in a safe spot that you can access later at home - perhaps under your "My Documents" folder.
- Type your answers to the questions on a WORD DOCUMENT.
- When finished, submit the assignment under "Section Homework" on the right side of the classroom webpage.

- Turn to page 328 in the text
- Answer the following questions: Recalling Facts - Questions 5 - 8; Interpreting Political Cartoons Activity - Questions 1 - 3
- Turn to page 352 in the text
- Answer the following questions: Recalling Facts 1 - 5; Understanding Concepts - Questions 1 - 2
